Peggy Duncan is a combination professional organizer, project manager, and computer trainer. That's a powerful set of skills she uses to help busy people like you get things done!

Being on the firing line with non-negotiable deadlines approaching forced me to learn how to work efficiently and effectively. Whenever I began a project, I always looked for ways to streamline the process—the key is to be organized and to know and use the incredible power of computer technology.

In lieu of television, Peggy Duncan reads 50-lb computer books, then shares their best tips with anyone who will listen. She'd rather spend money on new software than a new dress, and she loves walking into chaos and establishing order. It all started with growing up with a mother who was the ultimate planner who always knew exactly where everything was. Then after college at IBM, she quickly realized that because they had well thought-out processes and procedures and unlimited employee training, she was able to improve her work habits and make her job easier. While at IBM, she received awards totaling over $40,000 for developing more efficient processes through their employee suggestion program.

Peggy is a personal productivity expert, trainer, and consultant and helps her clients save as much as two months a year in wasted time, labor, and energy. Everything she does focuses on helping busy people get things done, in less time, with less stress. She is the managing director of PSC Press, with a client list that includes media powerhouses such as USA Today, Cox, and the New York Times Newspaper Group; corporate giants including UPS, Genentech, Inc., and AGL Resources, Inc.; national associations that include the National Association for Female Executives, the National Association of Minority Media Executives, and the US Tennis Association; and government agencies, including the Small Business Administration and the Centers for Disease Control. She regularly teaches a class at Georgia Tech titled Get Organized NOW!

As a consultant, Peggy works with groups within an organization to help them get organized, streamline their processes, and use technology more efficiently. As a workshop presenter/trainer, her topics are taught on land, at sea, and on the Web. They include:

  • Finding Time to Lead.
  • Get Organized So You Can Think! Follow Up! Follow Through!
  • Get Organized for Better Project Management.
  • Put Time Management to Work and Live the Life You Want.
  • Conquer Email Overload with Better Habits and Outlook Tips and Tricks.
  • Get Organized and Manage Your Time with Microsoft Outlook.
  • PowerPoint in a Hurry (Beginning to Advanced PowerPoint in 4 Hours).
  • Computer Magic!: Tips and Tricks that Save You Time (in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat).

Peggy is a media spokesperson and a former radio and TV show co-host. She's also an author with books that include: Just Show Me Which Button to Click! in PowerPoint 2003; Put Time Management to Work and Live the Life You Want; and Conquer Email Overload with Better Habits, Etiquette, and Outlook Tips and Tricks (and another one on Outlook 2003). She is also the editor of a popular online magazine, COPE. Journalists call her often, and her expertise has been cited in various publications, including O, the Oprah Magazine, Essence, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, Health, Fitness, Black Enterprise, MyBusiness, the International Herald Tribune-London, Positive Thinking, PINK, and more. She is a guest author on the stress site at about.com, one of the most popular sites on the Web.

As a volunteer for SCORE Atlanta, Peggy produces a series of highly successful conferences for small business owners. She is a member of the National Association for Female Executives, and a former member of the National Speakers Association. The 2004, 2005, and 2006 editions of Who's Who in Black Atlanta list Peggy as one of its best and brightest entrepreneurs.

The Durham, NC native received a B.S. degree in Marketing and a Train the Trainer certification from one of the nation's top business schools at Georgia State University in Atlanta. More information and lots of tips can be found on her Web site at www.PeggyDuncan.com.

"I appreciated the fact that your service is not cookie-cutter. It is personalized for each client and environment. I am so much more productive since I am not spending a lot of time looking for things. It's a morale boost to come into a clean, well organized office. I went from having the worst office to having the best."

"You'd be proud of me. I'm not an A student yet, but I'm far from failing. I stayed late one night and threw out all my predecessor's junk. And set up a working system. And did it help. I found stuff I had misplaced. And when fact checking called me for information, I knew exactly where to go to get it. I felt good."

"I wanted to quickly thank you for an outstanding presentation to the National Sales Network meeting last night. It was very timely and informative and provided the kind of professional development that we promise our members. I will take you up on the offer to come back and present on the topic of how to control email!"

"Peggy Duncan, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your presentation at the Freelance Forum meeting last night. The first thing I did when I got home was purge my inbox, create e-file folders, and scheduled some important recurring tasks. I also shared what I learned with my husband.  He agreed that we need to purge. I’m on my way to reclaiming control of my life and my time, because time is money (smile). I was so hyped last night that I couldn’t sleep. So, I got up and worked on a press release that’s due today.  Although I didn’t finally get to bed until 3 a.m. (It’s okay.  I’m creative at weird hours.), I woke up around 7 a.m. I was fully rested. I know it’s because I started organizing."
